Sweet Kisses, Bitter Taste

Miriam laid admidst rubbles and bodies, her broken, limp body almost blending in with the corpses around her if it hadn't been for her shaking sobs and the blood she kept coughing up. It scared her, but most of all it scared her how she was out in the open, beyond the safe walls of the rectory, in demon territory where anyone could kill her at any time. She realized now that would be the most likely scenario this situation would play, and braced herself for the sharp edge of an iron knife thrusted in her back. She just wanted the pain she felt to go away.

He knew they probably didn't have time to waste, and so he did not make time for conversation, instead practically hoisting her into his arms and over his shoulders. It was probably not the best thing to do medically whilst she had wounds like that, but he knew not how to treat them and therefore could do nothing but keep her out of immeadiate danger.
'I really don't care what you think right now' he muttered, still angry from his meeting with Cali and in all honesty reeling from the fact she decided to get annoyed at him when he had just sacrified everything to get her away. 'If you are being too much of an idiot to understand that was for your own good then tough, but either way I am getting you out of here and now since thanks to you you are the only one I have left in this place.'

She wanted to scream when he picked her up out of extreme pain, but all that came out was a hoarse, choaked cry and nothing more. His words were a blur to her but she heard enough to make sense of what he meant, yet she couldn't make herself reply to him. She opened her mouth, but all that came out was more hoarse cries and bloody coughs. It could be the same, she would not know what to say if she could speak anyway.
She wanted him gone, and yet wanted him close, but she could not utter her wishes, so all she did was cling to him, digging her nails into his flesh whenever a new wave of pain fell over her, which was often enough. The only thing she could do was try to stop her crying, but her attempts were in vain, and her tears still flowed freely down her cheek.

He soon had to stop, her pain too evident to continue. Settling her down on the rubble and looking around hesistantly his expression became serious. 'Mad at me?' he asked, knowing she was. He leaned forward and kissed her momentarily, before breaking it and looking at her once more. 'Show me how much. Bite my lip hard.'
He did not know what else to do. Demon blood was never meant to be shared with a human, but he had already broke so many rules he did not care, and it was the only thing he had on him that would help her injuries enough to get her out of here alive. Obviously she would be reluctant, why he had phrased it the way he had. But he could not deal with another injury, weakening him further still when he was up against so much. But he would not feel it if she made him bleed this way. He would keep kissing her until she swallowed what she could, and then he would get her out of here.
He leant forward and kissed her again, ignoring her protests and hoping that if she wanted to resist then she would listen to him and take it out that way. She could hardly stop him otherwise, in pain too much to put up a fight.

She damned herself more than anyone as she broke her promise, once again becoming weak in his arms, and the kisses made her heart flutter worse each time despite the obvious pain. The sickening feeling return to her stomach, and she wanted it gone. Seeing as he refused to stop before she gave into his wishes she bit down on his lip as hard as she could, hoping this would let him know exactly how much she hated him in that moment. She only stopped when the bitter, stale taste of blood found her tounge and she tried to spit it out, disgusted by the taste.

He persisted, not letting go of her and holding her face firmly to his so that she could not resist. He could not feel his own bleeding, but he could guess as much from her reactions that he had begun to.
Slowly but surely he held on, not sure how much would have any form of impact. He doubted that it may do anything, knowing very little of human contamination. There was certainly a reason why it was discouraged at all costs, and it was addictive to humans, but he did not believe that such a small amount now would do anything more than hopefully strengthen her, just enough to get her to the Rectory door.

She moaned in dismay to show how little she enjoyed this and put her weak, right hand to his chest as if to push him off though she didn't have the strength. Her left arm still felt numb and painful, unable to lift it she simply let it lay against her side.
The blood was trickling down her throat, threatening to make her gag at any moment. Why wouldn't he stop? Frollo's warnings spun in the back of her head, but his words were a blur and she could not make sense of them, instead opening her eyes wide to stare at Rin.

He knew she did not want this, but she did not understand his reasoning, and he continued still not satisfied that she had even swallowed a drop yet. Eventually his tongue would bleed out, and then he would stop, but not now when he had already decided this is what he was going to do.
He deepened the kiss, not only to give her futher blood but also so she could enjoy it more and remain distracted. He was aware he could not just sit and kiss her in the middle of the open forever, but he was desperately trying to give her the best shot he could think of. He tried to express this as she looked at him, but it was very difficult to do so.

She didn't resist for long, as she was barely strong enough to lift her own arm and simply went with what he wanted, though confused as to why he would do such a thing. It seemed surreal and stupid, unnatural even. Specially here, didn't he understand that he needed to run?
The stale taste of the blood quickly softened on her tounge, and somehow she grew to almost like it, which scared her a little, but it made it far easier to swallow, not having to fight the gagging reflex anymore.

Gently he persisted until they had far over-stayed their safety, and he was forced to break the kiss.
'If it does what I think it will you'll thank me later' he sighed, picking her up slowly once more. He didn't have time to be gentle, and he hoped that the demon blood would have had at least some kind of numbing effect, even if that was just caused by her own body rejecting it.
'Now we need to hurry. Please tell me once I get you to the Sanctuary I'm not going to get myself trapped?' he asked. He looked once more around for demons, before continuing onwards.

Her mind raced, trying to think of how the sanctuary had looked the last time she was there, but she couldn't remember anything about a devil's trap unless someone had made a new one after she had been there. It was possible, but not plausible. Not many humans ventured outside of the rectory, and the ones who did seldom thought to put a devil's trap.
She shook her head, hoping he would understand her by doing so, as she was still too breathless and weak to speak.
