He actually did glare this time.
He was getting aggravated and impatient.
This thing was trying to play with him and he wasn't having that.
"Look, I don't know shit and I'm not making this deal until I see her damn body!
Goodness, I'm a small guy.
You think I'll really try to take off with mum under your nose?"
He sighed and used his fingers to rub his temples.
"Mr. Demon man, you have me at a point where I'm ready to make this deal but I don't trust you so instead of going back and forth with this, will you just snap your fingers or do that mumbo jumbo magic thing and show me her body.
I'm not backing down but I do promise you, as soon as I see her, we can proceed to make the deal right there and then."

He got up and started to walk away. "Then we are not making this deal. I'm sure I can find someone else who will be interested."

Thomas watched the demon and was almost a little sad to him leave.
Here was his first encounter with a demon and he would have nothing to show for it.
Plus the demon didn't kill him or even try to!
"Wait!" He called out and looked down. "Can I at least ask your name?"

Azazel stopped and turned around slowly. "Why should I give you my name when I don't even know yours my boy?"

Thomas couldn't help but grin a little.
"You're pretty deaf for a demon with so much influence.
I said my name when we first met."
He actually smiled when he saw the demon's expression.
"Guess it can't hurt to repeat, right? I'm Thomas."

He laughed. "Can't help it, maybe it's all the brimstone in my ear." He mockingly dug his ear. "They call me Azazel."

Thomas laughed. He laughed for the first time since the attack.
"Azazel." He said to himself as he played the name around in his head. "Cool."
He sat down at a nearby pew and studied Azazel.
"You're sort of different from what I heard about you demons."

He arched his eyebrow. "Why? Because I don't want to straight out kill you?" He walked closer to the boy, stopping before the little barricade of salt and rocks. "Then tell me what have you heard about us?"

Thomas inwardly smiled.
"Quite a lot actually, You guys started off as humans with obvious flaws that sent you to Hell when you die.
You then spend like eternity in there and is only released when you lose your humanity.
You follow Satan and you also have some interesting powers of the psychic measures."
He looked up at Azazel.
"But you, you yellow-eyed ones.
I've heard you are quite the rare and powerful types.
You are of higher rank and could be considered the second in command demons."

He smirked. "You have been told alot I see. So, what do you know of our powers then?" He asked going to sit down on the rock he had previously sat on and crossed his arms on his chest.

"Well demons have psychic powers.
With them, you strong enough to fling a mere human like me around."
Thomas stared at this demon and couldn't believe how at ease he was becoming around.
Maybe he's just feeling lonely but then, he could have easily talked with another surviving human if that was the case, right?
No, there was something else...
"Azazel? I want to make a deal with you."

He was surprised by the sudden suggestion. "The previous deal on the table or a new one?" He asked interested.

Thomas hopped off the pew.
"A new one." He walked over to Azazel.
"See after our little talk about your powers, I realized:
There's no way you could know who my mum is or how she looks.
You can't read minds and you don't get visions so how could you know?
You probably don't even know her name."
He gave Azazel a challenging look.
"So, new deal.
You help me find my mum's body and I'll be your informant or /spy\, as you say.
Also I want your word that you'll give me added protection from other demon's attacks.
In exchange, I won't lie to you about anything I reveal.
And one more thing, my time isn't up until my mum has been found and buried in a sacred manner.
Sounds reasonable?"

He listened to the deal with interest. "You forget one thing. Why would I give you her body? What would make sure that you are keeping your part of the bargain?" He started to make points with his fingers. "You will get my protection from demons as my spy. I will get you to reveal the information by having your mum in my care. And last but not least I you buy good treatment for your mothers body by being truthfull." He placed his hand down. "I can regocnise your mother quite easily. Not too hard after seeing your face. I don't need special powers for that."

Thomas tilted his head from side to side in thought.
"Well the fact that you can just take my soul when you want means you'll always have the advantage in this bargain.
But I guess we can do it your way seeing as there's not much of a change to my suggested deal.
But I still want to be alive long enough to bury my mother.
Think we can do that, Azazel?"
He approached the demon with a clear grimace on his face as he remembers how demons seal a deal.
Man, this'll be soo homo...

He stopped Thomas from getting closer. "I think you confuse me with a red eyed demon. I can not make deals over your soul. You have to ruin your sould yourself to join us in hell." He said smirking. "This is just like a deal between two humans." He was clearly amused by the boy.

Thomas stopped and stared.
His embarrassment was in full blaze as he quickly jumped back from the demon.
"O thank God!"
He cleared his throat as if none of that just occurred.
"But I knew that. I was just testing you, of course."

He laughed. "What ever works for you I suppose." He extended his hand to him. "We can shake hands to seal the deal, or if you'd rather prefer the kiss I can do that also." He said winking playfully to him.

Thomas cringed at Azazel's last suggestion.
"Let's not do that one."
He shook Azazel's hand.
"So, that's it, then?"

He smirked. "That is it." He took his hand back and put it in his pocket. "If you run into trouble with the other demons just mention my name. There is only one demon that can boss me around." He started to head back towards the entrance wing. "See you around Thomas." He said waving his hand casually to him.
