And then there were us

Frollo stood in the middle of the room, trying to make eyecontact with everyone in the room.
It hurt him how few they were now, these first few days had been bad. Worse than bad. They had been slaughtered one by one.
A lot of the people before him now had lost someone in the attack, he himself had lost his brothers, the other priests. He was only grateful that his God had not yet taken away his precious Cinderella, who stood before him as well, with the rest of the humans.
"That is all I know," he spoke in a sigh. He had just finished telling them all he knew of demons. They now knew how to defend himself, and he knew he should have probably told them all this earlier, but the humans had scattered after the attack. It had been so hard to make them all come together. He only hoped it wasn't too late.

Miriam sat alone in the couch furthest away from the door. It seemed most people preffered standing, but she had still left some space in case someone else wanted to sit. Not that she cared too much, that was the least of her problems.
She had lost her whole family.. the family she had worked so hard to protect her whole life. They were gone. They were all... dead.
She didn't pity herself. Looking around the room she knew many who had lost their family as well. She didn't even know these people, not any of them, but the looks on their faces wore the grief only the loss of a dear one could give you.
She sat completely still, staring straight ahead at nothing. How was she going to survive this...?

Cinderella walked closer to Frollo, standing next to him. She looked at him and smiled reassuringly. Many people in the room were crying, their faces filled with distraught, but Cinderella stayed calm. She looked around trying to memorize each face, but there wasn't many. She sighed, the past few days had been horrific. Terror filling each street of the city, demons terrorizing and murdering the innocent. She couldn't bare to think about it. She just stood there in silence, watching the unknown faces gather together all combined with one similarity. Fear. But she had to stay strong. For them. For the people.

Frollo let a hand rest comforting on Cinderella's shoulder for a split second before he once again glanced around the room.
"I will be handing out equipment for you all," he said, raising his voice slightly to make sure everyone was focused on him.
"Sadly... I do not have much.." he said, looking towards the door. He would need to go get them, but he was scared the people would be disappointed when they saw just how little he had. And now he was forced to choose who would get what...

Aurora was so taken by surprise...Her sister was..gone..Just like that. Nothing was left of her. She did not even know what to think about it,
Feel about it she was just shocked. Listening carefully as Frollo explained everything.
She had to kill this...Demon inside her sister...But her sister..would be gone too..
Aurora just sat there staring towards the wall as she was so unsure.
After some time she stood up. As Frollo seemed to have something useful.
''We need to fight those Demons off with all we have..We cannot sit here and do nothing!'' She said raising her voice slightly.
How foolish it sounded. There had to happen something.

Frollo nodded towards Aurora before he walked to the door, heading upstairs to get his equipment.
He hoped there would be enough to give everyone at least something, but he honestly was not sure.
It had been quite a while since Frollo had checked his stocks..

Miriam didn't do much. Most of all she wanted to put her head in her hands and hide away, but she rejected the urge to do so.
She would not show her weakness, she never had, and though she did not smile, she would not let anyone see how hurt she really was.
How scared she truely was... how her whole self was screaming on the inside, gasping for air.
"So demons are real," she muttered and laughed softly to herself, it all seemed too surreal.
"Who knew?" she asked with another small laugh.

Frollo returned before he bent over, spreading the many items out over the floor.
Some he had left behind in his room, he did not want to give everything away so hastily.
It might come in good handy to have some left for later.
"Aurora," he called, seeing as she was already fairly close to him.
He took a few items from the floor, put it all inside a little bag that could barely contain it all, and handed it to her.
Inside of the bag was an empty waterbottle, 2 small bags of salt, an exorcism spell and an anti-possession charm.
"I wish you good luck in the following days," he said, and looked at her, meaning every word.
Aurora was truely a saint, and he wished her no harm. She was one of the humans he cared most for.
"You are going to need it."

Sinbad silently watched what was going on. It was hard to believe it all, but it was good to get some more about these demons. Now he just wondered what would happen from now on and if they even had a chance.

Aurora looked up when Frollo called her. She blushed slightly as he told her good luck. Nodding, nodding her slight blush away as well.
She shouldn't be like this. She shouldn't give into her feelings now. God should forbid these feelings she had,
''Thank you very much.'' A polite thank you she had given him back.
Looking into the bag. She had gotten allot. Looking up she smiled at him. Giving him a nod again.

Frollo noticed Sinbad stir from the corner of his eyes, and got another bag ready for him.
He took a few steps until he was standing in front of him with the bag, handing it to him.
He had never been very fond of Sinbad and his sinful ways, but he was, of course, still one of God's children, and Frollo would never resent him. He also knew well how Sinbad regretted his chosen lifestyle, and his faith, this place, was more than enough punishment.
Frollo would overlook everything Sinbad had done in his past. It was a new world now, and the past could not be dwelled at.
The bag he was handing over contained an iron knife, an empty waterbottle, an exorcism spell and two bags of salt.
The iron knives he did not have many of, but if anyone needed one, it would be Sinbad.

Jane sat alone in one of the chairs. She didn't say anything.
Her hands were clasped tightly together as she stared down at them.
Phoebus...Phoebus was now a demon. She had every reason to hate him, but it didn't stop the
ache in her heart. She quickly blinked away tears. No...no she would not allow herself to cry

[OOC: Jane, try to remember that Samael and Phoebus are not the same person ^^ Phoebus is still inside of him, but it is the demon Samael that is possessing him. Phoebus could still be saved if Samael is exorcised before any lethal damage is given to Phoebus' body ^^]

Frollo got another bag and walked over to Jane with it.
He laid a hand on her shoulder in a comforting gesture, it seemed like she needed it.
Frollo was well aware of Jane's past with Phoebus and damned Samael to hell for taking him away from her. The loss of someone so dear was hard to watch. Frollo had suffered tremendous losses in his own life, but still felt for Jane.
"Do not cry my child, all is not yet lost," he said as he handed her the bag.
Inside it was an empty waterbottle, 4 bags of salt, and an exorcism spell.

Jane's eyes widened when she saw the spell.
"This...this can save him?" She whispered,
not daring to let herself hope

Proteus was in a corner, alone: on his face there was a blank expression. Too many facts, too many informations… he needed some time alone to rationalize everything. It was just… too much! His glance was focused on the floor, he didn't want to look at anyone for that moment: he couldn't leave the room but he needed at least to pretend he was alone. He knew that he would have had to fight, he knew that he would have had to be strong… and he would have done it! But in that moment... he just needed to recover his energies...

"It's dangerous.." he said, warning her to attempt it, but he knew she would not listen.
"You will have to trap him in one of these," he said and pointed at the devil's trap drawn on the exorcism spell.
"Draw it in human blood.." he said and looked up at her to see her reaction.
"Then you will have to read these words out loud, and hope Phoebus... survives.." he said softly, reluctant to say the last word. Jane's heart had broken enough, and he knew this might just bring her further sorrow.

She clutched the book tighter. Human blood.
"Phoebus could die?" She asked carefully she was willing to do almost anything
to bring him back, but was the risk worth it?

"Only if his body is severly damaged," he said hesitantly, not wanting to give her any false hope. He had no idea what Samael had done with his body, but he knew from experience demons did not tend to go easy on their human shells.
He left Jane alone to think, before he collected together another bag and walked over to Proteus.
Two bags of salt, an empty waterbottle, an exorcism spell and an iron knife.
He was sparesom with these, but he knew Proteus was skilled with this, and it made sense to give it to him.
If anyone could use it well, it would be Proteus, and handing him one could be quite a good decision.

Jane pressed her hands to her face, closing her eyes.
What should she do? Should she risk his life in attempt to save him?
She tried desperately to think of what Phoebus would want her to do.
She knew the answer...he would want her to try. He would never want
to hurt anyone and while that demon was in charge of his body he,
he WAS hurting people. She knew she had to try

Proteus felt a presence next to him, and when he raised his head he saw Frollo that was giving him his new 'weapons'. He took them, nodding to him to thank him, saying him a simple "Thank you". He stayed in silence for a short while, like undecided about what to say more: everything seemed so useless... "Father, i just want to say that, if I can do something... anything, just please know that i'm here for it." he smiled a bitter smile: his words seemed so useless, but he hoped Frollo had understood his point

Frollo smiled at the young man, knowing he meant his very best. To be honest, Frollo had no doubt Proteus would be useful in this battle, but he was happy to see the boy wanted to fight. He was truely a good soul.
"Just don't get yourself killed," he said as if teasing him, though his eyes gave off that he was serious.

He smiled to him, trying to give him a real smile and not only to fake on, but when he nodded he was serious "I will try". He really didn't want to die, not now, not that young, not killed by a demon: he still wanted to live, he had so many things to live for... but he wasn't the kind of person that would have renounced to fight for something right, and he was ready to die if it had to be his destiny.

He looked around the room and found Miriam sitting on the couch not far from Proteus.
She was staring blankly out into the open air, and though she was strong, though she did not shed a tear or show any sign of weakness Frollo felt deep sorrow for her. She had not been broken, she was truely a strong child but...
The pain has not been hard to guess. So young she had already lost her entire family.
He handed her a bag, hoping to take her thoughts away from the pain and grief.
Smiling down at her, he placed the bag in her hand.
2 bags of salt, an exorcism spell and an iron knife.
He did not have water bottles enough for everybody, but he hoped she could manage without..

She knew the priest meant well, but she could not make herself smile back.
She took the bag and looked inside of it, happy to find a knife in there. It looked as if it was made of iron, and she was sure it was. Frollo would not hand out useless knives. With this she could actually protect herself.
She was a little disappointed that she had not recieved a water bottle, but she knew he was rationing it out, and after all, she could find other ways to get to water. Worst case scenario she just had to drink from the spring in Frollo's kitchen or in the bathrooms.
"Thank you," she said flatly, and stared out into the thin air once again.

Frollo sighed soundlessly at the girl, before he went back to his items.
He continued until everyone - except Cinderella - had a bag with items in it. Then he positioned himself in the middle of the room.
"You are free to do what you have to do. Free to go where you wish. All I'm asking is your carefullness. I expect you to come to me if there is ever any problems," he said before walking over to stand next to Cinderella, smiling weakly down on her.
"Will you see me upstairs?" he asked. He wanted to give her something quite special.
